Never try to defend your present position or situation, rather rise against them. Acceptance of what has happened is the first step in overcoming the consequences of any misfortune.
Helen Keller became deaf, dumb and blind shortly after birth. Despite her greatest misfortune, she has written her name indelibly in the pages of the history of the great. Her entire life has served as evidence that no one ever is defeated until defeat is accepted as a reality.
Beethoven was deaf, Milton was blind but their names will last as long as time endures because they dream and translated their dreams into organized thought.
Winning is great, sure but if you are really going to do something in life, the secrets are learning how to lose. Nobody goes undefeated at all time, if you can Pick up after a crushing defeat, and go on to win again, you are going to be a champion someday.
There is a difference between wishing for a thing and ready to receive it. If you are truly ready to receive and acquire success, then you must rise up against all odds.
Things might be so difficult, plans may fail, your dreams might fail to produce something good, life might seem upside down, opportunities might cease to come, friends may betray you, people may forget you. Issues that are beyond your ability might come your way, life might seem so challenging, relationships might destroy. People might cease helping. But that is not the end of the world, stop looking down on your self and don’t let temporary challenges dwindle your self-esteem.
A champion is someone who stand when people knows he can’t. Be a champion and rise against all odds.
You are the only one responsible for your life, stop blaming people for your action, stop blaming people for your pains and don’t be afraid of difficulties, impossibilities and losses, for in it your success lies. It is not what happens to you that matters, it’s your ability to rise against all odds that makes the difference. Be a winner, build yourself and your reality.
Dream not of deeds you will do someday, how you will soar to reach the sky, tomorrow’s but a dream unsure, today is here, set out and try what you have been hoping to be. Talk not about your ship at sea, or conquest that are still afar. For you can make a difference now if you rise up against all odds and seek your star.
There are no obstacles too great for you to override, no mountain range that you can’t cross to reach the other side. No ocean too big for you to reach the other side. Only the brave achieve great things. So, go and seek your goal. You can not miss the dream you seek if you rise against all odds and play your role. Don’t wait for people any more to shape your life or bend for challenges to pass you by, because it won’t go. It will only keep your head down until you rise against it, your success is in view.
The truth is, everybody wants to be successful. However, the problem is, most of us don’t have the courage to attain success. I read about a boy who had lost his right hand in an accident when the doctor asked him about his handicap, he replied, I don’t have a handicap, I just don’t have a right hand!
Later, the doctor discovered that he was one of the leading scorers on his high school basketball team. See how this little boy shattered all excuse and reason for you not to rise against all odds. A boy who had one hand became the highest goal scorer among his colleague who has two hands. You better wake up.
According to Denis Waitley, the winner’s edge is not in a gifted birth, a high IQ, or in talent. The winner’s edge is all in the attitude, not aptitude. Attitude is a criterion for success. I believe we need the right attitude like the boy mention above, to rise against all odds. What people want is progress, but can they have it without the sense of victory.
It is not easy, if it were, everybody would be doing it. But if you are sick and tired of being sick and you are ready to do something about it, then let start climbing. As Edmund Burke said, the only thing necessary for the triumph of the devil is for good men to do nothing. If you want good success then you must keep your head up by rising up against all impossibilities.
If you think your case is worst and you consider yourself of no value or you have lose hope in life and you think you can not rise against all odds, impossibilities, losses or against any misfortune in life. Consider, the strange and fascinating story of Mohammed, analyze his life, compare with men of achievement in this modern age of industry and finance and observe how they have one outstanding trait in common.
A Brief reviewed by Thomas Sugrue
Mohammed was a prophet, but he never performed a Miracle. He was not a mystic, he had no formal schooling, he did not begin his mission until he was forty. When he announced that he was the Messenger of God, bringing word of the true religion, he was ridiculed and labelled a lunatic.
Children tripped him and women threw filth upon him. He was banished from his native city, Mecca and his followers were stripped of their worldly goods and sent into the desserts after him. When he had been preaching ten years he had nothing to show for it but banishment, poverty and ridicule. But despite all these odds, he refuses to give up and rise against all odds. If not for his triumphant against all odds, he would have died with his calling
The man that suffer great loss in 24 hours
Another man I want you to consider is the man named Job. A man of great honour in is time, a well-respected man that is full of dignity, wealth and possessions. In just a day this man entire life turn upside down, this man turns to a subject of mockery, he became a joking and laughing stuff, his life became miserable and full of misfortune. He was deserted by his own family, he experiences a great setback, he became homeless and helpless. He losses his business empire, he losses all his possessions and he losses all his family. This man suffers great loss in just one day, he losses all, in less than 24 hours.
The greatest misfortune of all time is for a man who has acquired abundant riches and wealth, suddenly become irrelevant. But despite all the unfavourable condition, despite all the odds, challenges, difficulties and trials. He never gives in to defeat, rather, he fights against all odds. Guess what? He writes his name indelibly in the pages of the history of the great and had a better ending. No one ever is defeated until defeat is accepted as a reality.
Remember, acceptance of what has happened is the first step in overcoming the consequences of any misfortune.
