CHILD OF THE WORLD By Jegede Abayomi Samuel

From “This is Nigeria” and now to “Child of the world”, I can’t stop having enough from Falz.
Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz is a Nigerian rapper, actor, and songwriter. The video of this single address Sexual harassment /violence, HIV/AIDS, and Suicide.
Of recent, we heard of a professor in my Alma mater demanding five rounds of sex from his student before she can pass his course.
A study in South Africa shows that one in three women/girls have experienced sexual violence, coerce to have sex, and have been abused in whatever form. That report further states that those women/girls that have also been abused have a higher probability of contracting HIV/AIDS. However, this would go on to affect the chances of such women/girls economically, socially, and even leadership-wise.
Moreover, victims of such actions also need to SPEAK UP. The case at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife shows that justice is still possible in this country.

However, at the end of the day all of us must stand up and be fearless in advocating a stop to sexual harassment / violence, showing some love and ending any form of discrimination towards victims of HIV/AIDS, and reaching out to somebody today to show you care about them, and letting them know that taking their lives is not the solution to their problems.
Finally, it is a good job to Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz. Though I still have the likes of SOCO, Science Students and others on my playlist. I think music is about mood, sometimes you feel you need something slow, light, or maybe lace with heavy beats, etc.
Thank my goodness for life.
