“Seeth a man diligent in his work? He will stand before kings and not stand before mean men”. (Proverbs 22:29)

Diligence is defined as the English dictionary as a long-termed effort, working hard, including carefulness, through attention, determination and perseverance.

Diligence also means focusing one’s effort on the work at hand. Also, diligence is like an investment which means what you put into something determines what you will get from it. A diligent person works hard because anything worth doing is worth doing right and the way you do your work is a reflection of who you are. “It is not your credentials that makes you essential, but your potentials”, skillfulness!

It’s all about your diligence to service.

The biblical context also proves the point of being diligent in the book of Proverbs 13:4, “The soul of a lazy man desires and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich. Also, the book of Proverbs 12: 24 also verify this that

“The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labour”.

The diligent person will be in control or in the management of thing, He will rule, but the indifferent person, the lazy one will be forced to work. The opposite of diligence is laziness. Don’t be lazy.

How can one be diligent? Read again (Prov. 22:29) Seeth a man diligent in his work? He will stand before kings and not stand before mean men.

– Invest your time and energy to complete a task assigned to you.

– Always set your priority – Don’t take the first to be the last.

– Be submissive, be humble. – James 4:10

– Self-motivation

Always see yourself as one who can do it, challenge your challenges. Don’t let people put you down. Believe in yourself and stand for yourself and trust yourself.

– A diligent person demonstrates an eagerness to learn new things in order to improve your personal skills, you don’t just go through life, you grow through life.

– Set a goal

A goal setter is a goal getter, what you want to achieve as a person you have to set them, so it will make you get better and go far in life.

– Trust things that will make you a person, move on, stay strong, and finish better.

– Focus

A diligent person will always focus. Don’t lose focus; it doesn’t matter where you are coming from. All that matters is where you are going.

Do not lose your destination. Be diligent

– Attitude

Being a diligent person calls for a better, acceptable behaviour which is ATTITUDE, your attitude to work makes you a diligent person, also know this that your attitude, not your aptitude, determines your altitude.

In conclusion, still, on diligence, I would like to tell you this that a diligent person brings success and wealth to himself and to his family. A major key to your being successful is your definition; success is liking what you do and liking how you do it.
