OSUN 2018 Election; Don’t Contest Without An Economic Blueprint, Yusuff Mutalub Ola-Gold Warns Aspirants.

Yusuff Mutalub Ola-gold, the CEO of Quartz Integrated Services and Executive Director of Arise and Impact Nigerian Youths Initiative in his statement said, the incoming governor of the State should come with a viable economic blueprint to revive the state.

The Geologist who is also a youth advocate urged the aspirants to do their assignment very well to avoid giving flimsy excuses or blaming past governors during their 4 years on the seat.

In his statement, Ola-Gold said; “It’s no more a news that the economic condition of Osun State is pitiable. The state is struggling to survive economically. This is a reality we’ve all accepted for more than three years now.”

“My advice to those aspiring to govern the state come November this year, we won’t accept the excuse of Osun is financially incapacitated and then run away from your duties and responsibilities as a governor.”

“If you don’t have the blueprint on how to improve the fortune of the state economically, don’t even come out at all as an aspirant. We won’t entertain any excuse whatsoever. You must be prepared and well equipped to revamp the economy of the state.”

A few days ago, According to the Tribune Olawale Rasheed who is a top-flight journalist, a media entrepreneur and a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Osun State.  In his interview with DARE ADEKANMBI about his vision, qualification and experience for the job, among other issues. Mallam Olawale Rasheed said; “I Won’t Probe Aregbesola’s Tenure If Elected the Osun Governor.

The statement of not probing the current administration received many criticisms and harsh words from the readers. Many people believed Ogbeni Aregbesola has mismanaged the resources of the state coupled with half salaries for workers and other misfortunes.

However, the Executive Director of Arise and Impact Nigerian Youths Initiative, Mutalub Yusuff believed there are many tasks ahead for the incoming governor. Any serious aspirant who wants to govern the state should be well prepared and come with an economic blueprint. He also warned aspirants that the citizens of the state won’t accept the blame game.

He said: “This is the task ahead. We don’t want a governor who will continue to remind us how Aregbesola squanders billions of naira on uncompleted projects and many other misplace priorities. We want a well-prepared governor who is ready to take responsibility and change our state financial story.”

“Moreover, we won’t accept any excuses or trade of blames. We’ve heard enough from Aregbesola. We also want someone to effect a positive change. Someone to bring prosperity once again to the state,” Yusuff Ola-Gold concluded.
