Few months to the Osun Guber election. Where is the Iwo-Osogbo road promised by Mr governor during the 2014 campaign?

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola came to my dear town (Iwo) for his second term campaign in 2014. Governor always called Iwo land his second home. We were happy and glamouring to hear that from a sitting governor in the hope that he loves us but the reverse is the case. In a bid to return for his second term ambition he made promises to achieve it.

– He promised us the rehabilitation of Iwo-Osogbo road.
– He promised us 2 lanes from Odori market to the new garage and even a fly-over bridge.

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola promised us a lot of things then which made us accepted and cast our votes for him. However, presently there’s nothing like 2 lanes or fly-over bridge in my town. His tenure as the governor of the state is coming to an end in few months. We can all see that the Iwo-Osogbo road still remains the same without a new look.

We are not angry with non-fulfilment of your promise because we believe that man just proposes and God disposes of. However, we are waiting for our precious time in this forthcoming 2018 governorship election. Unfortunately, Governor Aregbesola is neither supporting his second home ambition nor the Osun West Agenda to produce who will succeed him in office.

Ogbeni Aregbesola did not give us Iwo to Osogbo road and not giving us rigid support to pick his successor from Osun west. It is no more a rumour that Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is backing the ambition his chief of staff Gboyega Oyetola. Though it’s crystal clear that the All Progressive Congress (APC) is dead already in Osun state. Therefore, any candidate supported by Ogbeni Aregbesola has already failed.

Ogbeni Aregbesola is playing upon Osun state’s people intelligence. Especially, the people of Osun West and I’m not disappointed in some youths praising the sitting governor due to the appointment that was given to their father, mother or relatives which is of no use to the general public.

Great Iwo land youth. It’s time to rescue our city from the hands of those greedy and merciless politicians.

We say no to Iwo is my second home.

I am Adewale Adigun D’Rock
From Osun west, Iwo local government.
