Jaiz Bank Officials on Courtesy Visit as Oluwo Donates Office for Operation

Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi today received the delegation of Jaiz Bank in his palace in continuation of his pursue of a branch of the bank in Iwo, his country home.

Oba Akanbi promised to work with his subjects to donate an operational office for the kick-off.

The delegation was led by the south-west regional manager, Mr. Kazeem Taoreed Adeniran with three other branch managers.

The visit followed the request by Oluwo to locate a branch of Jaiz Bank in Iwo. Oluwo, in his convincing claims described Iwo as the headquarters of Islam in the southwest, noting the town is thirsty of an interest-free bank for years.

Oluwo disclosed most conservative Muslims prefer to keep their money at home instead of bank in respect of the forbidden of interest n hadit, assuring Jaiz of high patronage if his requested is granted.

“Iwo is the headquarters of Islam in Southwestern Nigeria. Situating Jaiz Bank in Iwo is synonymous with quenching our thirsty for years. We have promoted the status of the ancient city of Iwo to a household name. We’ve the largest market in Osun State. Iwo people because of their belief in the Quran will love to patronize a bank on free loan operation. We are 100% ready if Jaiz is ready”

Responding to the requests by the Oluwo, the regional manager, Mr. Kazeem Taoreed stated the report if his visit will be delivered to the top management of the bank, assuring Oluwo of favourable outcome for the motivation extended to donate an operational structure for the branch.

Others in the entourage of the regional manager were: Mr. Abdulsalam Mutiu (Iwo road branch manager, Ibadan), Mr. Mudasiru Adebayo (Dugbe branch manager, Ibadan) and Mr. Abiola Saliu for Osogbo branch manager.

It could be recalled that Oluwo had earlier visited the chairman of Jaiz Bank in Abuja to make a formal request of a branch of the bank in Iwo.

According to Oluwo: “Iwo was not well known before but today, I’ve raised the bar of recognition of the ancient city. I visit private people to facilitate employment, companies, agencies and many infrastructures to my domain. We have built the image and now it’s time to taste the omelette”
