Oluwo of Iwo Land Donates Cash to Revive Radio Station in Iwo


According to a press release from the CPS to Oluwo of Iwo land, ALLI Ibraheem, he said the traditional ruler donated cash and promised to contribute in kinds to make sure the Reality Radio-Vision station is fully active.

For years, Reality Radiovision Service, Iwo has been subjected to epileptic transmission, owing to no fuel to power generating set whenever public light is off. This distasteful experience has adversely affected the potential of her officials. The talent therein is not given resources to function optimally.

Unsatisfied with the rigorous tasks attached to lack of enough resources to deliver to modern taste for 24hrs, the workers approached Oluwo for succour.

In his usual character of ensuring functionality of the station, Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi made a donation of N100,000 cash for fuelling of reality generating set. Oluwo equally pledged to donate a vehicle to aid locomotion/ timely delivery of news item and a computer set for the news and current affairs unit of the transmission station.

Severally, Oba Akanbi launched a collaborative effort to assist the government on infrastructural upgrade and maintenance. He opined lending a helping hand will encourage the government to do more.

According to Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi; “Reality Radiovision Service is not the exclusive property of the government. It belongs to the government, you and I. Complaints cannot solve our problems. We, as a responsible citizen, must as well promote the government through social responsibilities of maintenance of infrastructures. Doing so will challenge the government to be up and doing”.
