Don’t Ask Time Where It’s Gone, Tell it Where To Go | By Adeniyi Ademola

All great achievers understand the value of controlling their time. They know that we human beings have been created equal in this respect: every one of us is privileged with Twenty-four hours a day. What we do with each day matters.

Give your best time to your most challenging situation. It’s not how much you do that matters; it’s how much you finish. Here’s a key: Say no. Saying yes when you should say, No is one of the biggest reasons for wasting time. One of the most valuable sayings ever coined was, “Don’t spend a dollar’s worth of time for ten-cents’ worth of results.”

Make sure to take care of the two most vulnerable times in your day—the first thing in the morning and the last thing at night. It’s amazing how much these two times influence the whole day. Be sure to fill them with productive words and actions. If you are saying, “I could be doing big things if I weren’t so busy doing small things,” Then you need to take control of your time. The greater control you exercise over your time, the greater freedom you will experience.

Moses prayed, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Ps. 90:12 KJV). The Bible teaches us that the devil comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10), and this verse applies to time as well as to other areas of our lives. The enemy desires to overflow us with anxieties, worries, people, pleasures, and misdirection that “kill, steal, and destroy” valuable time.

I often hear people say, “I’d give anything to be able to…” If you have said this, you should adopt the “6 x 1 = 6” leadership principle. If you want to write a book, learn to play a musical instrument, become a better tennis player, or anything else that’s important to you, then devote yourself to it one hour a day, six days a week. Sooner than you think, your desire will become reality. You can accomplish many things in 312 hours a year! Just a commitment of one hour a day, six days a week is all it takes.

We all have the same amount of time each day. The difference between people Is determined by what they do with the amount of time at their disposal. Don’t be like the airline pilot flying over the Pacific Ocean who reported to his passengers, “We’re lost, but we’re making a great time!” Remember that the future arrives an hour at a time. Gain control of your time, and you will gain control of your life.

Those that succeed in life are the ones who take responsibility, for now, they never allow procrastination to rob them of their blessing. The beauty of life is with those who think something different and starts immediately.

It’s not easy, if it were, everybody would be doing it. But if you are sick and tired of being sick and you are ready to do something about it, then start climbing and take responsibility now for your life. Do you put off until tomorrow what you should have done yesterday? When you kill time, you kill those callings God has placed within you. It takes time to kill time and it takes time to heal time.

Eccle.11v4, says if you wait for the perfect condition you will never get anything done. The first step to overcome procrastination is to abolish all the reasons and excuses for not taking immediate action. Procrastinators are good at talking and not doing.

Mark twain said, “noise produces nothing, often a hen who has merely laid an egg cake as though she has laid an asteroid”. As Edmund Burke said, “the only thing necessary for the triumph of the evil is for good men to do nothing”. Procrastination is a tool of the devil to hold us back and make us miss God’s timing for our lives. The desire of the slothful killeth him, for his hands, refuse to labour. Prvb 21v25.

Let make progress not excuses and the right time is now, is there anything that you have been thinking of doing and always waiting for the best time to have it done, why don’t you stop procrastinating and do it right now. If today is not the best time for you to do it, don’t you know that tomorrow can never be. The truth is the best time will never come, if not now. If you don’t have the time to do what you want to do or need to do, you are most probably a modern slave

Myles Munroe once said. “if life is measure in terms of time, then time wasted is life abuse”. life is not measured by duration but by donation. It is not how long you live but how well you make use of your time. Procrastination is a thief of time, while excuses are a thief of destiny. Make use of your time now in the best way.

Don’t Ask Time Where It’s Gone, Tell it Where To Go | By Adeniyi Ademola

Imagine every morning the minute you woke up, I gave you $1440 to spend for the day and at the end of every day, I took back what you didn’t spend, you’d make sure you spent every last dollar, wouldn’t you? Well, every day you get 1440 minutes. It’s up to you how you use them, and no matter what you do, the next day, you get another 1440 minutes.

You can’t save your minutes for a rainy day and you can’t access tomorrow’s minutes today. But you can make use of today’s minutes in a productive way

Successful people like Elon Musk, Warren Buffet, and Bill Gates all get 1440 minutes too. The difference is in how they use their time.

Remember, the secrets of success are with those that value the use of time, those that make time work for them, rather than working for time and those who make use of time in a productive way. Don’t forget, never ask time where it’s gone rather tell it where to go.
