In life, we engage in so many things; good, bad and ugly, all in the name of learning lessons and gathering experience. We learn and gather at work, in marriage, in our general day to day activities in life.
In fact, some people say that life itself is an experience. But all these lessons we learn, socially, politically, academically and every other ‘cally’, where do we need them?
Are they tools necessary to take along in our journey? Are they things needed to give us success at our eternal abode? We need to think about this in other so choose wisely, the right priorities. Learn, gather, amass, but do them the Islamic way. Do not go out of the line.
Remember that Allah says:
Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children – like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion. [Quran, 57:20]’
May Allah bless us all and ease our affairs.
