Start now tips

Start with what you have, where you are, not with what you don’t have. Opportunity is always where you are, never where you were. To get anywhere you must launch out from somewhere, or you will get nowhere.

Hamilton Mabie said, “The question for each man to settle is not what he would do if he had the means, time, influence, advantage, and education, but what he will do with things he has”. God will always give you the ability to create what you need from something that is already here. He will always give you the ability to create whatever you needed with what he has given you.

Ed Howe said, “People are always neglecting something they can do and trying to do something they can not do”. I absolutely subscribed with Teddy Roosevelt when he said, “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are”. The only way to learn anything thoroughly is by starting at the bottom. To be successful, do what you can and start with what you have, where you are.

Ken Keys Junior said, “To be upset over what you don’t have is to waste what you do have”. The truth is few are successful because they didn’t waste the opportunities and advantage many had. That is why Wooden Allen said, “the only regret in my life is that I am not someone else”. Epicurus said, “Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not, but remember that what you now have was once among the things only hoped for”. Henri Amiel observed, “Almost everything comes from almost nothing”.

I heard of a story of a woman who is now a multi-billionaire, according to her story she started her business with just N900 naira, and today she is at the top of her dream. How? The answer is very simple, she only took responsibility to start where she was. Some people are too lazy and greedy to take responsibility to start where they are, they always complain, it’s too small, I can not start with it.

I never say is not good to start high or to aim big but it always good to start with something, even though is little, start doing something with it. That is why the scripture says, he who is faithful in a little, bigger task will be given unto him. Start where you are, not where you are aiming.

Some people are too fond of procrastinating, you will hear them saying always, I will start tomorrow and if tomorrow comes, I will start tomorrow. Don’t you know that the perfect day and time will never come, if not right where you are? Procrastination is the demon of all men. While some are fond of excuses, they will always give a reason for their action, don’t you know that excuses are a thief of destiny. If not now, when?. The truth is whatever you are thinking, there is someone somewhere that is thinking the same thing and if you fail to do something about it, just know that someone else will do.

Mike Murdock said, “whatever God has already given to you will create anything else He has promised you”. Everyone who has arrived had to begin where they were. The truth is, you can not know what you can do until you try it. The most important thing about reaching your dream is starting where you are.

Edward Hail said, “I can not do everything, but I still can do something and because I can not do everything, I will not refuse to do something I can do”. It takes effective responsibility to start where you are, you might say, it’s not easy. Off course, is not, but responsibility makes it easier. Only those that take responsibility to start where they make it in life. You don’t need the strategy to start where you are, you only need responsibility to get the start and if you do, every other thing will fall in place (ideas, logic and solid strategy). Mark Twain said, “Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow”.
